Things to do in Guadeloupe islands

I decided to write this post in english version only because you are more and more english speakers reading my blog and I'm very happy ! so many thanks for that .
I know that all my post are already available in english but what does it matter !
English is not my mother tongue so be nice 😄

  • Where is Guadeloupe ? 

First of all, Guadeloupe (aka Butterfly island) is a french archipelago located in the Caribbean. The islands of Guadeloupe are: Grande-Terre, Basse-Terre, La Désirade, Marie-Galante and Les Saintes ( Les Saintes wich are themselves an archipelago ).
Guadeloupe's administrative capital is Basse-Terre and the economic capital is Pointe-à-Pitre.

4) Let imbued with our creole lifestyle.
Our creole lifestyle is not only define by our other mother tongue. You will notice it with the architecture of some houses. Indeed, the "cases créoles " (eng: creole houses) still exist in our heritage. ( read the post ).
You can also notice it in our culinary heritage. Guadeloupe abounds in many specialities. If you never hear about bokit, agoulou, sorbet coco, accras, ti punch, dombrés, etc... You definitely need to visit our amazing islands.
Visit also the various museums, distilleries, parks (botanical garden, zoo) of the island.

5) Let's see the sea/ocean side !
Guadeloupe has many beautiful snorkeling / diving spots ! The most popular ones are Réserve Cousteau and Petite Terre island. You will see many fishes, turtles, etc.
Many water activities are possible:surf, kite surf, stand paddle, canöe kayak, canyoning,...

I'm pretty sure that you know that " Death in paradise " (fr. Meurtre au paradis) is filmed in Guadeloupe. But where ?
